If you are in the USA I wish you a happy 4th of July!
If you aren’t I hope you are having the best of days!
As my family and I watched the fireworks last night
I couldn’t help but think about Francis Scott Key and
the the song The Star Spangled Banner that he wrote.
The feeling that there must have been at this little
rebel America wanting freedom so badly from England
and going against the worlds biggest army and super-force.
These rebels (Americans) were willing to go against
all odds and risk it all for liberty and freedom
and as the British ships Francis Scott Key saw out
his window that the flag still stood in it’s glory
at Fort McHenry after the night of constant bombardment
of the best that the British could offer must have
been nothing short of amazing!
Let us remember those who sacrificed so much for the
freedoms that we enjoy on this Independence Day!
