I have had a few people lately ask me what my background is to make it in Network Marketing and I actually used to be a Loan Officer.
For me the transition was an easy one because a lot of what I did in the Mortgage industry was to produce leads, network with Realtors and follow up with leads and referrals. There really are a lot of similarities between the two businesses. As the basics are the same.
I have always been someone that likes to make commission and make money off of my efforts and the efforts of others. It is kind of funny, but before I left the mortgage industry I used to develop leads for myself and other loan officers in my company and when I gave them a lead and it closed I got a cut of the commission.
I didn’t even realize how close I was to becoming a network marketer at that time. I made more money off of the efforts of those other loan officers than I could make on my own because I had duplicated my efforts.
That is the same way with network marketing. If we recruit up, meaning that we prospect to and recruit individuals with as much or more to offer than we have then we are set to make more money off of their efforts than our own.
It is like owning a company and hiring the cream of the crop without having to pay taxes and have the overhead.
If you were ever wondering one of the most important factors of success in this industry it is recruiting individuals that will create massive success. I would rather have 5 powerful people working in my direct down line than have 100 that aren’t doing much.
This is one of the things I love most about this business. Another is that when people are ready to get going they don’t have to jump through all the red tape that they did to get a mortgage.
So there you go…I started in mortgages to be able to work on my earn terms and earn what I am worth and then jumped to Network Marketing because it allows me to duplicate my efforts hundreds of times over and make a powerful residual income that wasn’t available month after month in the mortgage industry.
I am here to tell you that if you are looking into network marketing I would say go for it. It has been good to me.
