I just learned a powerful lesson from a pig? Yes, of all places I just learned a life lesson about how to have greater success from a pig!

You know we all face adversity when we strive for something better, for success in life, business, school, and even the hobbies that we enjoy. The key to success in life and in business is to do as the pig does and make it work…

…if a pig can walk on his front feet then we can have success in life and business through constant effort and an iron will.

I bet you there were times when this pig got discouraged at crawling around on his front feet, maybe seeing other pigs and wondering why he couldn’t walk like them too, but he pushed through and with a goal in mind to walk, the pig walks on his front legs only!

How easy would it have been for the pig to give up and let food and drink be brought to him? So easy!!!

One of the greatest keys to success in life and business is to set a goal and work through the failures, the struggles, and the discouragement, and to consistently work towards that goal.

To hell with the naysayers that say “the pig can’t walk without back legs” or that say that you are wasting your time and will never find success at your home business, or whatever else you are working towards.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, the pig didn’t walk in a day, and I didn’t make a full-time income online in a day, but they all happened.

this summer and it brought to my mind this question…

Where would you go if money and time weren’t an obstacle?

What is a place that you have always wanted to go, or go
back to, and haven’t yet?

Here is an assignment. Let yourself think as if money and
time were not an issue and then search the internet and
browse those destinations…

Now let yourself imagine that you were on the trip and feel
the feelings that would come to you as you are there.

This may seem a little cheesy, but I can tell you that
this not only relieves stress, but if you set the goal
to go and let nothing stand in your way… you will be
able to go and do anything that you want to.

Commitment and Goals

One of the biggest keys that I have seen when I am having the best
success in my life is setting a GOAL and being 100% Committed to
the actions that bring the results.

This is a recipe that has served me and countless others well
for thousands of years and will for many more to come.

It is all about simple making a decision, setting a goal to
reach that decision, and being 100% committed to
doing everything it takes to achieve that goal

1.) Decide exactly how much you want to make and why (be specific)

What Will You Change This Year?

Well it is 2011 and I have been posing this question to myself as I contemplate last year and move on to a new and better 2011.

What Will You Accomplish In 2011 and How?

What will you change this year?

As I thought about this I pondered a new car or more money and I will definitely make both of those happen, but what are some of the more important things that we can change?

Maybe you have a job that you hate that is effecting your family life, or you are not doing well in a home business opportunity.

A great question to ask is what are the top 3 most important things to me in life and how can I improve upon them?

Mine are as follow:

Family

God

Peace of mind

What are yours and how can you improve upon them this year?

I can say that putting more time into improving upon yourself can assist you in any goal in life and give you a greater and more full existence in this life.

How can we improve ourselves?

I would suggest Personal Development courses and books. As much as you can take and apply.

I would suggest you start with a good book and move up from there. The first one that I read was Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Ever since then my paradigm and life have changed for the better.

So let’s go back to the question posed at the beginning, “What will you change this year?”

With anything that you want to change if you spend the time to develop your best asset (YOU) you will make it happen in 2011!

The Power Of Having A Vision

There is absolute power in having a vision of exactly what we want from life!

A Powerful Vision is the 1st Key to Success!

So many people float through life without purpose, goals, or a clear vision of what they want in life.

We tend to go through the motions of going to work, coming home to eat dinner, watch some TV, and then we go to bed and do it all again…our goal is to get buy and our biggest vision is what we are going to do on the weekend!

This is no way to live or really achieve any of the dreams that we have had in life. This is falling into what society feels is the norm…and really deep down who wants to live a normal life?

If you do that is great and this blog is probably not for you…If you do want to live life on your terms and the ability to set and reach goals and accomplishments way above the norm then I say WELCOME!

You have the Entrepreneurial spirit and when fostered and directed that spirit can take you places that others only wish for and dream of on occasion.

I have learned through experience and mentors that there are 10 steps to success that anyone can follow to reach greater heights and make their dreams their realities.

The first of those is to have a powerful vision or goal and to visualize and go over that goal at least 5 times per day.

Focus on that goal or vision like a laser beam and let it guide you to develop yourself into who you want to be and take the actions to get what you to get out of life!

I Find Hope In The Darkest Of Days…

In Network Marketing it is crucial to have this type of viewpoint that was pointed out by the Dalai Lama.

There is wisdom in his words that we can all benefit from and apply
to our lives and our business.

We must learn to look forward to the bright future and have a clear picture painted of what we want that to be to get us though the discouraging days that will come in our Network Marketing Opportunities and in our lives.

This is why it is so important to have clear goals, actions to get us to those goals, and a crystal clear vision of how it will feel to arrive at that destined goal.

So when the dark days of business and live come, which they will, focus on the good and the brightest days and the darkness will melt away.

Don’t get discouraged, keep your blinders on and push forward with a firm resolve to make things better!

Do Not Let Your Passions Destroy Your Dreams.

One of the best words of advice I have ever heard in life was at a conference in Raleigh, North Carolina where Thomas S. Monson gave this piece of advice, “Do not let your passions destroy your dreams.”

Now what does this mean to me? I have to reflect on it again and again and remind myself of the lesson that it carries.

To me I have some hobbies that I absolutely love, fishing being one and hunting being the other and if I allowed myself to I could be so consumed with my hobbies that my business would fail.

I have to check myself quite often in this area.

I have a strong tendency to work hard in my business and then to want to take a break and focus only on my passions. This is not a recipe for long-term success and because of this quote I pull in the reigns and get refocused on my goals that allow me to do my passions on a regular basis.

I am not implying that it is wrong to take off and do the things that we love, but that there has to be a balance. I am active in my hobbies more than most I know, but if I got too distracted and neglected my business I wouldn’t have the finances to do them at all.

Also, if I had a regular job I couldn’t take off on a beautiful morning or evening a couple of times a week to engage in these hobbies like I do.

So it short, we must keep out eyes on the goal and complete the activities that will bring us those goals. So as the quote says, “Do not let our passions destroy our dreams.”

This will bring us greater successes and long-term happiness in life.

Thoughts Drive Actions And Actions Create Results

Positive, consistent and powerful thoughts are so imperative to success in life and business.

Having thoughts that consume us and drive us to take massive actions is the piece of the puzzle that many seem to miss out on. We can think and focus on great things coming into our lives and on our goals and dreams, but without consistent actions backing those thoughts we will not arrive at the desired destination!

On the other hand it we go out and take action without focus and thought we will not be as effective as we could and will likely burn out. This is where focused thoughts that drive us to take the actions that will lead us to the desired results comes into play.

To really be successful one must:

1. Realize what it is we actually want and think through how we will arrive at that desired goal.

2. Take consistent and focused actions that are driven by the thought process.

3. Constantly grow, focus, achieve, reevaluate, take bigger actions and create massive results in our lives.

I love the scripture, “Faith without works is dead…” and it seems to perfectly fall into line with the need for actions!

Belief is not enough! If we understand the concept of focused thought energy followed by unstoppable actions to reach that goal then we will understand the blueprint for success. Of course there are other things that fall into the mix, but I am just trying to hit on the basics.

Sometimes the simple and basic things in life will take us the furthest!

So go out and set big goals, think out those goals and all that you could possibly do to achieve the desired results, and take the massive actions that will bring you success and results.
