I was just thinking about life and business today and thinking back it is the little things that make the difference.

I was thinking about the fact of going through 1031 leads before I ever made a sell in Network Marketing. If I had let that little thing stop me I would probably working a job that I hate right now.

What got me thinking of that was a conversation I was having with my mom about how most people stop right before they have a breakthrough in life and that is why so many people are contented with mediocrity in life, employment, relationships, and business.

When we actually make up a decision that we will not let little things get up down then we will push through them with ease and start seeing results.

It is the pathway of a leader to push through where others give up and that little extra effort and consistency is what leads to a full-time income from home and not making it work. I am confident that almost anyone can make it in Network Marketing if they keep on pushing when the little obstacles get in our way.

There is a quote I love by Boyd K. Packer about faith where he says, “Faith is walking into the darkness only to find light a few feet ahead.”

Have faith in yourself my friends and realize that if anyone can have success so can you.

I just had to share with you an epiphany that just came to me as I was out in my garden and ate the first ripe tomato of the season, and all about how it ties directly into Network Marketing.

You see, I love to garden. It is a side hobby that reduces stress and gives me a good excuse to break away from the norm for a while and simply relax and pull some weeds. Maybe you have a hobby that is similar of like to garden too.

As I went out today and ate my first cherry tomato of the season this morning I couldn’t help but think back to the first fruit of my labor in Network Marketing and how rewarding and really earth shattering it was for me to sponsor my first person into the business. When it happened it was almost unreal to me how easily it came and from that point on I could expect it to come easier and recruited 2 more people the next week.

It was an absolute breakthrough and from that point on I have had an absolute knowledge that Network Marketing works and that sponsoring is easy with the right prospects. It became easier to let go of the people that weren’t qualified and with that mindset I was more postured in my prospecting calls and was able to recruit more people.

Now I will share with you something that is almost more rewarding than personally sponsoring someone into your business is when your downline starts sponsoring people too! Then you begin to see it become easier for them and that is how fortunes are made in this industry of Network Marketing my friends!

So now back to my little cherry tomato… We reap a harvest when we sow seeds. So the real key to having success in this industry is to put out a lot of seeds. What do I mean? I make it a point to put out a new article or video daily. I drive traffic to my blog and capture pages where they are put into a funnel, and from that funnel some with qualify for a conversation and join my team.

Of course not all of the seeds grow, but when you sow a lot and are consistent in your marketing efforts, you will begin to have prospects that join your opportunity trickling out the other end.

I was just thinking back to a movie that I watched when I was a kid about baseball and a farmer called Field of Dreams and how it ties into life and success in Network Marketing. In the movie the Iowa corn farmer played by Kevin Costner hears a voice telling him that, “If you build it they will come.” This voice is speaking of the Chicago White Sox playing in his field if he builds it. If you haven’t seen the movie this may not make much sense, but stay with me and I will give you some mission critical information on how to grow your business.

As this corn farmer goes about building the field for the White Sox to play in of course he is ridiculed, much as all of us have experienced at one time or another in MLM. He continues on though and at the end of the movie the field is completed and the baseball game is played… he built it and they came!

So how does this help you in Network Marketing and building your business? It goes as follows:

You must build or be part of a working funnel to grow your opportunity online! It is critical, especially when starting out that you don’t reinvent the wheel and tap into a team and a system that is already working. You need to build off of the credibility of your upline until you are able to show results for yourself to recruit on any scale.

Once you have said funnel or system you need to be able to tap into a simple action plan to get traffic to the funnel in order to see results and make sales. Without traffic to any system there will be no results! You have to know what is working with the team and follow the leaders to success…if you want to change things up after you are making the money and recruiting regularly feel free to do it.

You are also going to want to be part of a community that helps each other to succeed and works together to make sure that those who are trying to grow aren’t left behind. This is what you are looking for if you want success in Network Marketing.

To recap you need a system or funnel that sales people for you, you need to know how to drive traffic to that funnel that will convert into leads and sales for you, and you need to be part of a team or community that is dedicated to your success.

This makes it easy for not only you to get started, but it creates duplication in your team that leads to fortunes in Network Marketing!

You know what is funny is that the first time I saw the Numis Network I didn’t even get it… I actually met Dave Wood at a Numis meeting in Phoenix about a year ago and then my eyes were opened to the potential of this business, but being the stubborn person that I am I didn’t join then! I kick myself for that decision everyday as my team would have been so much bigger.

Well, not to cry over spilt milk as I can’t go back, but needless to say I wish I would have joined when I caught the vision then instead of holding onto another business with less integrity and an inferior product.

I was just on a webinar with my buddy David Wood and he gave a ton of value as usual and he said something that really stuck out to me because I see people making mistakes all of the time by being too pushy.

This is what David said, “Being attractive is better than being pushy.”

What does this mean? Does this mean that we have to look attractive to sponsor new reps into our business? Not at all! Have you seen David? He has long hair and is definitely not GQ… SO WHAT! He is attractive because he is a great guy and offers a ton of value to the whole internet marketing/network marketing arena.

That is how he sponsors multiple people per day into his businesses. He offers help, value, and is down right likable.

Take this for example:

Have you ever been to a car lot and had a salesperson that was just so darn pushy that you hated them and never wanted to go back to that dealership for fear of being preyed upon?

I refuse to go back to a dealership when I am treated like that and you probably do too. In fact at that point I will spend more at another dealership if I am treated the right way when I go in and look.

So here is the point… if people feel like they know, like, and trust you then they will join you! People don’t like to be sold, but if you are attractive and they like you they will sell themselves on joining you.

So if you want to sponsor more people into your Network Marketing opportunity or sell them more affiliate products first you must become attractive by offering value and service.

It is the law of reciprocity that the more you give the more you get in return. If you learn a new skill share it. If you have a breakthrough in your business share it. You don’t have to pitch your business all the time, but offer value and give people a way to opt into your list or learn more about you and what you do.

Follow the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

How do you become valuable? I would suggest going to trainings and share something that stuck out to you. Apply what you learn and share the results with others. Learn and teach and you will become more valuable and assist others at the same time.

So once again, “Being attractive is better than being pushy.”
