Are You Scared Of Success?

This is a big one for many who join a business opportunity that I have seen with myself to be included in that grouping. When I got started in this business and started having success I sabotaged myself by actually being scared of success! It sounds kind of funny, but when the money started flowing I actually subconsciously was scared to death to be making money while working from home.

The first time this happened I had actually become a Loan Officer and worked from my home office on a commission only basis and in my first 2 months in the business I closed 5 loans and made way more money than I was used to… Well that is when my mind started playing tricks on me and telling me that it was a fluke and couldn’t be that easy to make money, but it really was! So what did I do about this fear of success? I spoke to my mentor Joe about it and he quickly got me some Tony Robbins courses and told me that I had to get my mind right. Guess what? It really works!

From that time on I have been a student of personal development and I can’t say that it has always prevented the fear and self-doubt from creeping in, but I can now recognize it and combat it.

So what is the moral of this little story?

If you are getting started in your own home business and are having a hard time realizing that you are both capable of attracting riches into your life and that you actually Deserve success in your life if you are working towards it I suggest that you get your hands on some personal development! Get some Tony Robbins and if you don’t already, get your hands on a copy of Think and Grow Rich today!

It also helps greatly to have a coach or mentor to help keep you in the right direction and I recommend that everyone has a mentor and surrounds themselves with people who are having more success than they are! You need someone who has been there and can guide you through the landmines that destroy success.

So find someone who you can get some personal mentoring from and do all that you can to work with that person and you will be well on your way to success!

What Will You Change This Year?

Well it is 2011 and I have been posing this question to myself as I contemplate last year and move on to a new and better 2011.

What Will You Accomplish In 2011 and How?

What will you change this year?

As I thought about this I pondered a new car or more money and I will definitely make both of those happen, but what are some of the more important things that we can change?

Maybe you have a job that you hate that is effecting your family life, or you are not doing well in a home business opportunity.

A great question to ask is what are the top 3 most important things to me in life and how can I improve upon them?

Mine are as follow:

Family

God

Peace of mind

What are yours and how can you improve upon them this year?

I can say that putting more time into improving upon yourself can assist you in any goal in life and give you a greater and more full existence in this life.

How can we improve ourselves?

I would suggest Personal Development courses and books. As much as you can take and apply.

I would suggest you start with a good book and move up from there. The first one that I read was Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Ever since then my paradigm and life have changed for the better.

So let’s go back to the question posed at the beginning, “What will you change this year?”

With anything that you want to change if you spend the time to develop your best asset (YOU) you will make it happen in 2011!

I love this quote because my Mother has been such a powerful influence for good in my life and I have to give her credit for always encouraging me to reach higher and attain my goals.

I can attribute many of my lives successes to she and my father.
