The Destructive One Up
I have been noticing the epidemic of the destructive one up lately and now that I see it I have to warn against it.
Now I want you to pay attention to how many times you can see people doing this in a day, make a game out of it, and you will be amazed at how often it occurs.
What is the destructive one up?
It is my way of explaining of when people are talking and one person says something negative about their life, someone, or something and the other person instinctively kicks in and tries to find something worse to talk about!
What destructive behavior to engage in! There can never be a good outcome out of these types of conversations.
On the other hand…what if we were to start one upping others on something positive. Making each other feel good when they walked away from a conversation with us.
How would that effect the environment around us?
I would challenge all who read this to engage in the positive one up.
You will see that more positive things and people will be attracted into your life and the lives of those around you!
Let us go out and conquer this demon of the destructive one up and make a real difference one positive comment at a time!
